Hotel Zur Linde Restaurant in Longuich

Good food reasonable prices

This is the first time I encounter a situation like this in a 3 star hotel in Germany. The room that I booked wasn't what I got. I'm going to explain my little nightmare and also the good part about it. When we got into the hotel and walk through the restaurant which was very pretty we couldn't imagine that this restaurant will be acompanied by the terrible room that I got. We made our reservations through booking 2 months after our arrival. When I took the hall towards the room I started to feel a cold sweat. Little did I know that what we found was worst. A very tiny room dirty carpet, an insy weensy bathroom with no place to even leave the clothes I was going to wear. A bunch of furniture taking up one side of the room and a chair as a nightstand for one of the beds. No outlets to connect mobiles, we had to disconnect the fridge and the night lamp to be able to charge our mobiles. The worst part were the beds which made all kind of squeeking noises and kept waking us up every single night. We literally had to throw one of them to the floor and sleep there to ease the noise. The night lamp had the bulb hanging out of it and I put it in as I could. The shower screen didn't close well. I have to say that the staff tried to do whatever they could to solved the situation. they showed me another room to change us during the next day but as you can imagine I didn't go all the way to Pattesen Germany to be waiting in a hotel for a room to be free when I had booked my own and should have been in good condition. I had sightseen to do and wasn't about to stay waiting at the hotel. They brough another matress to put over the one that was in one of the beds so then I had a two story bed :))) Little did that solved but I told them it was ok cause I saw the situation was just going to ruin my trip and nothing they could do was going to make it better.. We made the best of it. I have to say that the restaurant serves very good food and the attention was wonderful. Moral of the story. Room 21 is not in a condition to be given to any guest. I'm not going to talk about the rest but see the pictures and judge. I'm putting a claim to booking for this awful experience. Ps. I'm giving them 2 stars for the restaurant if it hadn't been for it, I would have given them 0.

If you want a salad, go for the one with goat cheese. You will never regret it! So delicious!!

Very friendly staff... food is of top quality. Rooms are clean and very well equiped. Highly recomend this hotel.
